Robot Dogs: What Four-Legged Robots Are Good For in Business
Four-legged robots walk over stairs and uneven ground. Where they take over patrols and inspections.

Robot dogs move on four legs and can therefore go where wheels fail: stairs, edges and uneven ground. Our range includes models from Unitree, PUDU and DOBOT.
Patrols and inspection
A robot dog can walk fixed routes while carrying cameras and sensors, for example in technical rooms, on storage areas or around the company site. The PUDU D5 is described as an autonomous four-legged robot for inspection and security and is also designed for outdoor use (protection class IP67).
Industry and heavy loads
The Unitree B2 is built as an industrial robot dog for high speeds (up to 6 m/s) and payloads. The W models such as the Go2-W and B2-W combine legs and wheels and travel faster on smooth surfaces.
Research and training
The Unitree Go2 EDU and the DOBOT Rover X1 are aimed at research, teaching and AI projects. They can be programmed. The Rover X1 follows people on request and runs for up to 2.5 hours.
Staying realistic
Robot dogs are no replacement for wheeled robots when it comes to transporting large loads or cleaning floors. They pay off where terrain, stairs or inspection tasks are the priority. We will check with you whether your task is a good match.
